The problem with jars or anything enclosed on the end is the vacuum that gets created preventing you from fucking it as hard as you'd like. I had a silicone masturbation steve once (before flesh light had been invented) and I hated it because getting into it was a chore. I finally cut a hole in the end.
I've never used a flesh light but they feel like they'd be pretty good.
